Materials

All cold-rolled light-gauge, high tensile-steel framing and components are fabricated and erected in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. All designs are in strict compliance with the standards requirements set forth by the local municipality and the American Iron & Steel Institute’s AISI S100. [North American specifications for the design of cold-formed steel structural members.]

Steel members are galvanized per ASTM A653 with minimum coating designation of G60 or G90.

  • Wide Flange Steel – ASTM A992
  • Pipe Steel ASTM A500 or ASTM A53 [Covers Seamless and Welded, Black & Hot dipped Galvanizing], Type E or S, Grade B.
  • Plate Steel ASTM A529 or A572
  • Miscellaneous Steel Members – ASTM A36
  • Roof Deck Panels ASTM A653 or ASTM A792
  • Bolts: ASTM A325N installed as bearing type connections. Slip-Critical Bolts ASTM A325.

Zincalume®/Galvalume® Steel Coating

Zincalume® is a 45% zinc/ 55% aluminum alloy applied by a continuous hot dip coating process. It offers the strength of steel and the corrosion resistance of aluminum.

Zincalume®/Galvalume® coating provides a silvery-matte surface and is most attractive with a far less reflective glare of traditional chromated galvanized sheets.

Paint Finishes

Exterior paint finishes vary by vendor and are factory baked on finishes. • Polyester • SMT • Kynar Underside finish consist of 1/2 coat backer or similar.
